Kugoo (Kirin / Jilong) is a wide product range — from city ES2/M2 Pro through M4 series to off-road G2, G3 and the flagship G-Booster. Each line has its own typical faults — we know all of them.

Six typical problems
on Kugoo scooters.
Kugoo gives more performance for less money — and the cost-cutting shows. Faults are concentrated in components that need to be cheaper than premium brands.
Battery cells
Kugoo uses non-branded cells (often "Lishen" or generic). After 600-900 cycles capacity drops below 70%. M4 Pro and G2 Pro are the most common in service.
MOSFET on climbs
M4 Pro, G2 Pro and G-Booster have controllers with marginal heatsinks. On long climbs or with heavier riders MOSFETs burn. We replace with upgraded version (better heat dissipation).
Welds at handlebar stem
Welds at the handlebar stem on G2 Pro and Kirin M4 series sometimes crack — especially with heavier riders or after curbs. Inspection + reweld or full stem replacement.
Throttle hall sensor
Throttle (hall sensor) on M4 series and G2 Pro is sensitive to moisture. After several months of wet weather it loses smooth response or throttle skips at full speed.
Hub motor bearings
G2 Pro, G3 Pro and G-Booster have heavy hub motors with bearings that wear over time. Around 3000-5000 km bearings get noisy. Replacement requires opening the motor.
G-Booster suspension bushings
G-Booster has hydraulic suspension front + rear. Rubber bushings around the suspension wear after 2000-3000 km — appears as wobble at higher speeds. Replacement of bushings only, no need to swap whole shock.
